The number of electric vehicles on our streets is soaring, but where do all these cars get their juice? In the third episode of our new podcast, we headed into the Swiss mountains to talk about charging and infrastructure. Switzerland is well-known for its spectacular landscapes, crystalline waterways, and now, a new road trip designed especially for electric cars called the E-Grand Tour. We spoke to Samuel Wille from Switzerland Tourism about the country’s commitment to going electric – and the freedom you experience from being able to charge up your car in the middle of a mountain pass. And we also heard from IONITY’s Network Coordinator Pia Bretschneider, who talked to us about how a network of reliable and fast EV chargers is key to the success of electric vehicles.

So in order to get as close to the truth as possible, the Audi Update team has hit the road to seek out a wide range of experts and hear directly from them about what they think.

The result is a brand new podcast series that will take listeners on a journey into tomorrow by focusing on four main areas: Electrification, Artificial Intelligence, Infrastructure and Materials. Each episode will involve a test drive in a current Audi model, during which we will pick up an expert who will guide us around their local area while telling us about their work. Additionally, we will also hear from an eclectic range of other voices in related fields – music, politics, fashion, history, tourism, motorsport and more.
